hey all, wsus has been giving me lot of problems disk space. i've tried solutions i've seen here in order "unneeded updates" cleaning work never has. either way, sbs 2008 server i'm on over vm , can't provision more space. running low on space.  so figured time reset. deleted wsuscontent folder contents , going wsusutil reset command. then, saw had option have individual computers retrieve update files. switched on that. however, seems sqlsrvr.exe process running in background couple of days. i'm not sure it's doing, think has me not doing reset. however, concern - don't want reset util download 50 gigs of updates, or i'll right started. i'll have more space because did go through , decline superseded updates want stop storing files locally together. have run wsustutil reset, , if know not download updates since option changed? thanks! my issue no matter tried, couldn't cleanup wizard work. how many approved ...

dears,   after creating dc on windows server 2012, want promote domain controller, prior time, configure  nic take static ip address, discovered time run "ipconfig  /all" on power shell or command line, can't  find configuration, show auto-configuration = yes not see static ip address added , preventing me promoting dc; server offline because on lab, therefore not connected network, kindly please. if media (network cable) disconnected, won't see active nic.  that means won't see config while running ipconfig /all. you can confirm looking name of network connection you're setting ips on.  for example "local area connection #2" is server vm or physical?   if server vm, can attach virtual switch has no physical uplink.  this way, it'll stay isolated. if server physical, you'll need activate nic plugging network device. chris ream W...
