Error when creating VHDX via Hyper-V Manager remotely

hey all!

so, installed hyper-v 2012 core on box, patched it, , joined domain. if connect server via hyper-v manager either windows 8 machine or server 2012 machine , try create vm, says "there unexpected error in configuring hard disk on [insert vm name here]." feel i've tried everything. can not create disk manually via manager on own, before or after vm being created. can, however, create disk via powershell out problem! via powershell, can create dynamic vhdx disk every time without issue.

i curious if has had problem and/or knows solution.

to create , configure virtual machine, can use either account member of local hyper-v administrators group, or administrators group. hyper-v administrators group new local security group provides users ability manage aspects of hyper-v without requiring membership in local administrators group. remote computer, connect hyper-v server server manager or hyper-v manager using account has local administrative rights.

please check current logon credential , make sure has required permission.
