i installed windows 2008 r2 sp1 , rebooted server , fine , came expected.  server hp bl460c.  downloaded , installed latest proliant support pack blade , installed , rebooted.  going @ point.  downloaded latest hp firmware cd , ran on server.  ran without error asked reboot normal after running firmware cd.  server not boot.  goes through post part , gives quick 1-2 seconds of startup progress bar of 2008 r2 goes blank black screen. the server still boots fine safe mode , safe mode networking, not normal boot. i saw kb microsoft has problem black screen startup problems.  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981275 this seems may problem occured after firmware update.  states corrected in sp1 , therefore system should have fix problem.  info reading hotfix being part of sp1 incorrect?  if how server boot install hotfix since can't install things in safe mode? what steps should take next?  call hp support or micro...

i'm trying connect server 2008 r2 nps mssql server logging accounting data , i'm running issues. i configured nps accounting through "configure accounting" wizard and, using windows integrated security, able connect mssql server (2012 express) , create db accounting.  when test out though nps generates 6274 event: "... not written configured accounting datastore".  looking on db server see 18456 event: "login failed user 'mydom\npsserver$'. reason: failed open explicitly specified database 'mynpsdb'. hello experts, i have inherited couple of windows server 2012 boxes.  1 physical (primary dc ad cs,ad ds, dhcp, dns, iis, nap).  the other 2012 box virtual , acts our backup dc (ad ds, dhcp, dns, nap).  our environment linux exception of our dcs.  just both boxes have been exhibiting intermittent crashes general network failure.  during initial troubleshooting of boxes found oddities advice on.  sorry formatting here struck me strange. for whatever reason physical box has nic teaming set though 1 interface active in team?   nlb set on dcs our pdc , bdc hosts?  tcp chimney offload disabled , multicast enabled in nlb assuming why setup works.  i have worked nlb before on iis servers.  so i'm not sure why nlb setup since dcs setup sync via dfs? our vpn auth device pointed @ nlb cluster ip.  when physical box encounters general network failure.  the vpn requests not being redirected secondary host (bdc) in nlb cluster...

hi, sorry in advance english, hope you'll understand i'm trying say... we got kind of strange behavior on (most) of our dfsr configured folder. context : around 25 server multiple dfsr group (1 group = 1 folder) 1 server primary, rest "read-only". working fine till day not anymore (everything blown in 1 go ... ouch...) resulted in dfsr group removal , ... around 90% of folder "read only" still read ... we can't create / rename / delete folder or files, ntfs right out of reach, reclaim ownership same, domain admin.. i tried manually recreate dfsr, (gui) refuse touch folder, same goes via powershell, denied. tried takeown too, no luck there. hopefully thoose folder not "that important" still take place, , still need update them... any tips or advice gladly accepted. regards. hi folks, as said, had inconsistent message in event log on servers making me feel still had unsettled thing grieving them. aaannndddd .....
