Windows Time Server and DST
we have strange problem related time service, perhaps can shed light. have network of w2k3 servers, 1 of them configured time server others sync @ interval of once per hour.
problem during daylight savings time, daylight savings switch not occur on hour normally, somewhere in between daylight savings time hour (some @ 11 minutes past, @ 45 minutes past), appear loosely correlated time sync suppose occur (based on can see in date , time properties dialog).
behavior not observed in deployments not have time server set up.
there logs tell when daylight savings time switch takes place? handled w32time service?
clues on why happening appreciated.
thanks,
-yanda

lots of questions post. me understand how have infrastructure configured. assuming using ad. using recommended configuration pdc configured use ntp pointing (preferably) internal router or unauthenticated time source (or can point internet source if don't have internal resource source from)? other windows-based machines should preferably configured nt5ds. set pdc reliable time server , other dcs time servers.
the reason ask config is, if there manual adjustment this, there may saturation of requests single configured time source making difficult source respond in timely manner.
as far time zone management goes, handled w32time service. service reading out of appropriate registry subkey determine appropriate adjustments. if feel configuration isn't contributor, or if want more info, can enble debug logging windows time service (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/816043).
