Can't connect NPS server a MSSQL DB.

i'm trying connect server 2008 r2 nps mssql server logging accounting data , i'm running issues.

i configured nps accounting through "configure accounting" wizard and, using windows integrated security, able connect mssql server (2012 express) , create db accounting.

when test out though nps generates 6274 event: "... not written configured accounting datastore".

looking on db server see 18456 event: "login failed user 'mydom\npsserver$'. reason: failed open explicitly specified database 'mynpsdb'. [client: nps.servers.ip.addr]"

so though setup db connection domain account db access server connecting local machine account.

i don't want give nps server's computer account explicit access db , want use domain account instead.

when in data link properties dialogue box tried enter domain account "use specific user name , password", "login failed user" error- know credentials typed in correct.

i tried running network policy server service domain account, after doing not start.

how can nps connect db domain account?

hi,

>>i don't want give nps server's computer account explicit access db , want use domain account instead.

actually, "'mydom\npsserver$" domain account. it's machine account.

please add nps's machine account sql server.

if want use user account access sql server, please change authenticate method use specific user name , password, input user account has proper permission.

best regards.
