hi there, have 2 domain controllers pdc (primary domain controller) , bdc (backup/additional domain controller) dhcp roleinstalled , configured fail-over between these 2 servers. dhcp distribute ips clients on lan (ip, subnetmask, default gateway, dns1: pdc ip, dns2: bdc ip). problem can't join clients domain unless enter dns ip 2 servers manually! although dhcp configured distribute dns1 , dns2 , when check ip configuration of client computer can see dns1 , dns2 assigned via dhcp. can't figure out! ideas how fix this?  thanks... do ip's these client computers receive exist in subnet that's assigned site dc's in? hi. i'm having more trouble anywhere access. the setup i'm working on has 2 routers- 1 separate server network, , 1 main network. modem goes router number one, server network, , in turn goes main network router, making server network invisible client computers on main network. does, however, create problem. the new server going on main network can function file server , backup host clients on main network, makes port forwarding aa difficult between 2 routers , can screw dns translation, etc. so, long story short, i'd anywhere access use 1 network port (to server network), , rest of server use main network. way guys can see working? don't want bridge connections, want server have 2 ip addresses. we have issue showed on our dhcp server. we've noticed 3rd octect above 128 not hand out dhcp address device. example scope 172.17.120.x leases addresses without issue, when go scope of 172.17.128.x below image , devices don't address assigned. we've restarted dhcp services, server itself, reconciled scope , tried re-creating scope no luck far. can see request go server server never sends device. there no a/v on server nor windows firewall turned on. insight appreciated.  what network subnet mask , tell me if there many subnets..
