Linking text firlds in different Word Documents

 i use ms word, , have created hundreds of forms group home work in ontario. information have entered text fields in, "word1.doc" automatically show in form, say, "word2.doc".  in other words, if text field in "word1doc" (which specific individual child on specific day) enter "bobby boy",  information to flow automatically text field in "word2.doc" not specific child general report of children on specific day (that day being represented "word1.doc").

so, guess asking is: word documents able extract information other word documents, and, if are, how do it?
