i in process of migrating data 1 server san.  i have copied couple of test folders predefined share.  within share have created folder shares used drive mappings using gpo policy logon.   i can access created shares on network , map them manually successfully.  when make changes existing logon.vbs script have here, enter details correctly, , logon test account, new mappings not take effect.  the existing mappings working fine theres slight glitch well.   i thought there hidden permission on san not find created test folder , shared existing, original, server see if shares or script creating issue.  still shares not map via logon script.  when logged in, can connect shares manually no problem.  i have copied logon script desktop , run , drives specified map successfully.  this rules out incorrect permissions user , folder , group.   i feel there reason existing logon.vbs file not accept new changes still run existin...

hello i have 2 hypervisor 2012r2 vms running under 20012r2 standard host.  host teamed on 4 physical ports (hypervisor mode, switch independent currently) cisco 3750-x switch. 1 vm running sql server 2008r2, other web services access sql server database.  web server accessed 10 windows 8.1 clients running resource intensive sims hit services load data sql server. so what has started happening when clients start beating on web server, connection starts degrading.  mean ping using ip address time out (its not performance thing).  vm becomes unresponsive clients (like within minutes).  client not able access host system (which in cases reason client can't access vm).  vm accessible via host hyper vm manager, running, vm ping-able host (so taking physical nic out of equation). the vms attached 1 vswitch on client.  host shares vswitch.  there 1 team of 4 nics aggregated 1 vswitch using switch independent teaming. i looking su...

i created user in windows 2008 server. in security tab, deny all extended rights self , everyone. includes "change password", "user cannot change password" in accounts tab not checked. unable change password user.  when check manually , uncheck it, there no change. being denied no matter check or un-check value of "user cannot change password" in account tab. - santron manibharathi. in aduc when check "user cannot change password", 2 ace's (access control entries) added dacl (discretionay access control list) user deny permission change password. 1 ace denies permission user, other denies permission group everyone. when uncheck this, 2 deny ace's removed. when deny extended rights, denies permission change password. either way, user cannot change own password. can confirm when deny extended rights, check box "user cannot change password" not checked. how aduc works. think because different guid used in ace's. s...
