was firmware update san or storage switch?  'upgrade san switch' i'm not sure component updating.

what topology of configuration?  2 controllers in san?  2 different san switches?  2 different paths hosts san disks?  san vendor?  did san vendor guarantee continuity of storage access during upgrade process (if san firmware)?  did switch vendor guarantee continuity of storage access during upgrade process (if switch firmware)?  mpio configured on cluster hosts?  microsoft mpio or storage vendor dsm?
