NFS Server Permissions
hello,
i'm trying setup shares via nfs on windows server 2012 machine. have installed nfs server, , added share machines read / write , root access allowed , auth krb5.
i have sucessfully connected debian 7 client domain, , can log in active directory user.
when trying mount following security error, when underlying ntfs permissions give read.
sudo mount chaos:/downloads test -o minorversion=1mount.nfs: access denied server while mounting chaos:/downloads
have missed something? or need connect share differently?
cheers.
thanks suggestion.
however giving ownership not option, there no "ownership" properties set specific nfs settings , doing on ntfs side quite messy understand it. need match groups on debian client ad groups?
now, im not linux expert , therefore have trust guy on blog see : http://www.atomia.com/blog/2011/12/02/how-to-create-a-nfs-share-on-a-windows-2008-r2-server
let me quote part of " trickiest part ntfs permissions. let’s want give user ubuntu access file. in case add ubuntu users of file , add permissions. on linux side change nothing. because linux aware of 3 entities, owner, owner’s group , all. when give permissions applies:"
to me simple solution seems to create group , add users may need access folder, , on nfs specify read / read-write access ...
