Event id 1110 Group Policy problem
on server 2008 r2 enterprise, keep getting event id 1110 errors group policy, indicating windows cannot tell if user , computer in same forest. can't find obvious issue on domain controllers. can ping dcs , nltest /server:<dcname> against dcs returns no error. when have a user execute gpresult /h gporesult.html suggested in technet, hangs. reboot fixes issue, need find better solution production environment. notice if go add user or group local administrators group, not display domain location add users, local computer and "entire directory". interestingly enough, if select "entire directory" , enter samid, resolves fine. can point me in right direction resolve issue?
thanks
hi joe,
according description, understand domain group policy not apply windows 2008 r2 server.
to troubleshoot issue, please ensure following items:
1. ensure server has network connectivity domain controller.
2. verify dns name resolution via type following command run command line:
c:\>nslookup domain.com
the qualified domain name (fqdn) of domain controller should displayed.
3. ensure whether server able access domain's sysvol folder.
4. run "rsop.msc" verify whether gpo applied in result.
