Install Office 2003 Small Business Edition on Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server
hi all,
we have been requested customer install old copy of office 2003 small business edition boxed product on new server 2008 r2 remote desktop server. know licensing conditions of office 2003 small business edition boxed product permitted installation on server 2003 terminal server cannot find indication whether applies server 2008 r2 remote desktop server.
the technical issues aside dubious product run on server 2008 r2 machine without issue, know if above scenario legally allowable situation licensing point of view and, if or not, can point me concrete evidence show customer can dissuade them action don't think wise one. preference them use office 2010 open licenses know this combination works are balking at cost.
all best,
richard
