Windows Server 2003 Task Scheduler
"vantage giga [e3c1ad18-6486-4df4-9147-452111cf7ac2].job" (webspy.vantage.exe) 15/09/2008 01:00:00 ** error **
the attempt log on account associated task failed, therefore, task did not run.
the specific error is:
0x80070569: logon failure: user has not been granted requested logon type @ computer.
verify task's run-as name , password valid , try again.
the account used run task has "log on batch job" , "log on service" , "access computer network" rights. account member of local admins too.
any suggestions.
scheduled tasks typically execute on console session. tasks setup within terminal server sessions run, not run interactively. if task setup within terminal server session , same user logged on @ console, task run interactively on console though not created in session. task interactive console however, if user logged in when task started. if user logs console , not user credentials launch task, task not interactive either console session or remote terminal server session.
troubleshooting steps:
1. check , see if service running using 1 of following methods:
2. start -> run -> type 'services.msc' and click ok
3. scroll down 'task scheduler' service.
4. check 'startup type' column.
the 'startup type' should set "automatic".
5. check 'status' column.
if service started, list 'started' in 'status' column.
6. click "log on" tab, , verify "log on as: local system account" , select checkbox of "allow services interact desktop"
7. please ensure user account not in the "logon batch job" and "logon service" right.
hope helps.
