Vertical cell borders in tables does not align when having mapped content controls within the table cell
hi,
i have 2 templates mapped(to customxml) rich text content controls within tables. content controls in question are locked down user cannot remove them or edit them. side note, document it's self has protected areas.
as said, have 2 template. can call them template , b.
i have rich text content control within template user can enter text into.
rich text content control lies within table cell and is mapped customxml node.
in template b have rich text content control lies within table cell which can see receiver of text entered in template a. difference between 2 rich text content controls in template , b in template b rich text content control locked down user cannot edit or delete content control.
as might have figured out, when open template b pull data template rich text content control , place within customxml node mapped rich text content control within template b.
all in all, text template transfered template b.
my problem in template b rich text content control locked down right hand vertical cell border not aligned rest of table. works fine if allow editing in content controls , have no protection on document.

hi peter,
i have not worked customxml nodes can't speak that. however, have been fighting problems shifting table rows in xml formatted documents , can share have learned/discovered , maybe in applies , helps in situation.
an xml formatted document not same across versions of office, meaning 2007 xml not same 2010 xml or 2011 xml or 2013 xml. between these versions objects tend shift in location. know experience graphic objects shift , if objects happen in table cell, row containing object shifts.
the implication of when take xml document created 1 version of office , edited on version, when save edited document object shift.
there warning might happen , comes in active documents window title, says "compatibility mode". way, compatibility mode definition has expanded not mean binary versus xml formatting includes xml xml formatting differences.
the second potential warning of shift may occur when save. potential because if have clicked checkbox says, "don't warn me again" not see message saving out of compatibility mode.
when save out of compatibility mode, may not recognize doing, when table rows, containing kinds of objects, shift. again, know happens picture type objects (tiff, jpg, gif, png, etc) maybe happening customexml node objects?
the remedy creating/converting of templates , master document various xml versions , using appropriate 1 based on machine running. should able automate conversion on end users machine if have smart initialization routine automatically runs document conversion on masters , templates when installed.
as said @ beginning, don't know sure if table row shifting scenario have described applies objects, if does, i've shared helps figure out workaround or solution.
