after reviewing steps need enable fqdn referrals dfs i'm bit confused.

in stage 3 under step c states if have multiple namespace servers can "remove each hosted domain-based namespace server."

does mean can remove 1st server namespace server tab perform remaining steps?

once that's done put 1st server , remove 2nd server , same changes it, replace 2nd server in namespace server tab.

i hate make assumptions find out hosed configuration.

any appreciated on this.

yes correct. article mentioned this:

generally, domain-based namespaces hosted on multiple namespace servers. therefore, when remove namespace 1 namespace server, in step, namespace availability not affected. however, should make sure there in fact more 1 namespace server hosting namespace. this, use 1 of following methods:

(get-dfsnroottarget –path <namespace>).count

dfsutil.exe root <namespace>
