Question on upgrading inetres.admx in the Central Store with Win8/2012 version
i've got question before update of .admx files in central store windows 8/server 2012 versions. i'm making assumption here (which way off , negate question) i'm thinking windows 8/server 2012 version of inetres.admx ie10 version deprecates internet explorer maintenance form of setting internet explorer policy. if case, upgrading inetres.admx file in central store break of existing group policies have out there using iem? more specifically, upgrading inetres.admx file prevent of users getting iem policy via existing gpo's utilize iem?
thanks in advance responses!

yes, inetres.admx win8/ws2012 ie10 version.
no, updating won't affect *existing* gpo's @ all.
no, won't stop *existing* iem functions on client machines.
but do, is:
- won't able edit/modify existing iem gpo's
- won't able create new gpo's iem settings
also note it's not inetres.admx changes things, e.g. if install ie10 (or target client os of win8/ws2012, there newer versions of cse dll, ignores iem settings anyway)
my advice you, begin preparing mixed environment (if have clients can't adopt ie10), , start creating gpp equivalents. if have older clients don't have gpp cse's, either deploy gpp cse's them upgrade os on clients gpp can used.
iem isn't coming back...
