Can't enable and configure RRAS, ICS service problem.

hi:

i have following problem, in rras mmc, right clic on servername, enable , configure rras, says: "ics (internet connection sharing) enabled on <server>, configure rras, disable ics , try again".

ok, disabled ics, tried configure rras, , same warning pops-up.

rebooted server, , same results.

help please.

did stop ics service, , set "disabled" won't auto start after reboot? service shows "windows firewall/internet connection sharing (ics)" in services console.

does server have more 1 nic in it? if so, please check each nic's properties make sure ics never enabled on 1 of them. checkbox says similar "share connection," invoked ics.

.

also, take @ registry
(reference: http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/please-disable-ics-isnt-enabled-t2379443.html)

hklm\system\currentcontrolset\services\remoteaccess
a key called configurationflags
if has a value of "0", replace, it with "1"
if dword configurationflags doesn't exist, create making a new dword key callled configurationflags , set the value "1" decimal (without quotes).

.

also check if there "incoming connections" configured in network interfaces. if see it, delete it.
