Redirecting C:\Users
ws2008 r2 sp1 rdsh farm
assume that i redirect c:\users\* \\domain.local\dfs\users\* via (supported) unattended install method, or (unsupported) symlink method, , connection broker & gpo ensure no user log on 2 rdsh's simultaneously.
in scenario, there reason use roaming profiles or folder redirection?

if you're able redirect users folder network, local appdata (i.e. caches, temporary files etc)?
your profile storage far larger if using roaming profiles , you'll in far worse situation if redirected folders including appdata. performance suffer because you'll have huge amount of reads , writes going file server.
these types of approaches user profiles work arounds - you're moving problem 1 place another, aren't solving issue. recommend looking @ profile management solution instead. if it's profiles you're looking fix, take @ immidio flex profiles, otherwise see white paper: http://www.brianmadden.com/blogs/rubenspruijt/archive/2011/11/01/user-environment-management-smackdown-head-to-head-analysis-of-appsense-citrix-immidio-liquidware-labs-microsoft-quest-res-scense-tricerat-unidesk-and-vuem.aspx
