Print from vista to xp printer

i having problems setting vista laptop print shared printer connected xp desktop.  changed both of computers in same workgroup , can't see xp computer in vista computers network places.  can't add printer @ because can't see printer or computer.  can ping xp computer vista computer however.  advise appreciated.

to connect remote printer, please try following steps check how works.

 

1.    on window xp computer, type '\\localhost' in explorer verify printers have been shared

2.    on window vista computer, type '\\ip_address_of_xp\printer_sharename'.
