Adobe Says SCUP Can Publish Updates for Distribution Using WSUS 3 SP2 - Are They Fibbing?

we use scup 2011 download catalogs , publish them our wsus/sccm environment.

the above page gives instructions "if using microsoft system center updates publisher 4.5, can import adobe flash player catalog deployment via wsus 3.0 sp2."

i cannot see content in wsus products can see them in , deploy them fine through sccm.

can use wsus console approve these updates in same way normal?

 

[we dont use sccm update yet, because our archaic local government change control means because of different in wuau interface compared sccm updates deployment interface (namely xp option "install updates , shutdown computer", need full project move wsus sccm. have had sccm on 18 months, still waiting.......]

it's important understand intent of article.

first, document filename 'sms.html' should clue. article dates days of sms2003 , has merely been updated configuration manager 2007.

second, article says "if using [scup]..." since scup licensed use system center configuration manager , system center essentials, article applies enviornments.

no, cannot manage locally published updates in wsus native console.

and "between lines" part of article goes this:
