Unable to set up multiple processors for Guest OS

i'm having trouble getting guest oses detect multiple processors.  have windows hyper-v server, guest os (windows 2008 r2) 2 virtual processors assigned.  when systeminfo on machine, though, get:

processors(s):    1 processor(s) installed

how machine detect multiple processors?

run integration services installation process.

the host updated (?) built-in out of date.
