Backup program 'Reflect' cannot read the disk
a 2003 r2 server worked fine months in lab having issues making disk image backups using program reflect macrium. program says cannot read bitmap, macrium says low level issue caused errors on disk (chkdsk doesn't find any) or program blocking disk access (such antivirus product). backup program worked fine on machine (with software installed on it, including symantec endpoint security) several weeks prior going production.
we experienced many problems putting machine production, related software on being newer version on server 1 replacing. software company thinks server os blame of issues experiencing, i'm not able find in logs or other locations points cause(s) of problems.
macrium unable resolve issue, i'm unable find cause. there no programs installed between time backups worked , time stopped working. any suggestions?
try removing disk form machine, making clone of paragon or acronis (both have free tools start with) , mount or replica on host. should isolate software compatibility issues if it's indeed software blocking access rather disk fs metadata being invalidated you'll able proceed.
p.s. if backup vendor cannot solve issue consider chaning backup vendor. imho of course.
