dfs namespaces works based on client IP

ok have dfs namespace say:

\\domain.com\test$

when i'm in main office (lan different vlan) 10.0.4.0/24 network, i can access share , shares in namespace.

when i'm on vpn 10.8.4.0/24 network, i can access share 1 of shares in namespace visible , folders under share limited.   - another user same type of ad credentials can see shares in namespace.  makes me think rights confused how can act different based on exact same credentials.

all using same domain credentials.

--------------------------------

now logging domain domain2.com credentials new domain

when i'm in the main office (different vlan) 172.26.47.0/24 network, i can't access share @ all.  error 80004005

when i'm in the main office (lan but same vlan) 10.0.1.0/24 network, can access share , shares in namespace.

there cross forest 2 way trust setup between 2 forest.
