Network performance problems Hyper-V childs on differtent hosts
i have following issue.
i have hyperv cluster existing of 2 hosts 9 virtual servers on in (5/4).
the network performance between virtual servers on same host good.
network performance workstation virtual server good.
network performance between virtual servers on different hosts poor.
i disabled tcp large offload function on host , guest.
has idea?
try various tcp task offloading settings in driver of physical nic virutal network bound to.
this not same disabling tcp offload. different thing.
http://itproctology.blogspot.com/2011/03/tcp-checksum-offload-is-not-equal-to.html
from vm vm on different servers few issues, , not tcp task offload.
there few patches reltaed this. go check patch level of the host , vms.
other issues can related routing, , disk io (if using csv , 1 reading array @ same time other writing.
i check patch level , handful of vm performance patches.
i verify both hyper-v servers @ exact same patch level , ics in vm @ proper level. (this can done going through actions of manually installing ics each vm using hyper-v management console.
if logged vm should installer - install if vm not match host , nothing if match.
