" \\printserver is not accessible.The user name could not be found "

i have domain joined client computers in environment. there print server not in domain .it joined workgroup.

when try access print server \\printserver windows xp sp3 machine following error message:

\\printserver not accessible.you might not have permission use network resource.contact administrator of server find out if have access permissions. user name not found

when try access print server ip works fine. i'm able ping both name , ip of print server. made entry in host file no use.

interestingly, when try acess same print server \\printserver logging in different domain user on same computer able access print server. local administrator able access it. particular user not able access server.

now, when tried accessing print server using same user login in different domain joined client computer -- worked fine.

so feel particular domain user not able access \\printserver on particular domain joined machine only.

any in regard highly appreciated.

it seems soemthing particular account. fast way troubleshoot issue, reset account or creat new account user.

hello, i have simple script developed debug purposes: $serverlist = @( "sca-c1cor01", "scb-c1cor01" ) ($i=0; $i -lt $serverlist.length; $i++) { start-job -scriptblock {$x=0} } i have saved script off file called test.ps1.  when run ./test.ps1 within interactive powershell runs fine.  i trying to call script dos window, sql server agent command job, or start->run line.  here syntax using: cmd.exe /c powershell -nologo -noninteractive "c:\scripts\powershell\test.ps1" when run way (from dos window), diaglog box pops says: powershell has stopped working  problem caused program stop working correctly.  windows close program , notify if solution available. i close , open eventvwr.msc.  2 pieces of info.  1 application , services log (windows powershell): engine state changed available stopped. details:  newenginestate=stopped  previousenginestate...
