Microsoft recommending mount points rather than using drive letters for Windows server / SQL Server builds??
hi have been informed work colleague oracle on unix background in future microsoft want installations go down route of using mount points rather using drive letters. have used argument replace our sql server installation standard uses traditional drive letters 1 has single c: drive , subsequent database file systems installed under mount points.
could let me know if statement direction of microsoft true?

i notice have posted same thread in our windows server general forum. mary said, there's no such official statement microsoft, recommend continuous attention information published on microsoft's official website. if changed, there should latest news inform users in advance avoid error changes.
