How do you Limit DVD/CD virtual drive ISO speed?

win8 pro w/ media center (host)
-client (windows xp, sp3)

i managed considered 'xp mode' & remote application launching, & works great.  :p having take crash course in fun software. (i'm pretty proud of myself.  can go full screen & havea 640x480 game take of screen meant seen & not have have steps)

how limit data speeds of virtrual cd/dvd drive within client os while using iso?

i'm having problem older game, bit audio/video heavy (16bit, have use xp or earlier) cutting self off because it's accessing files far quickly. it's literally half second *the time it'd take normal cd drive or fast 1 respond & retrive next file* & know how slow virtural drive down, or possible slow down read access iso or hte folder iso sitting in?

would mounting iso cd drive on host system, linking client mounted image slow down enough wasn't accessing data fast?

use daemon tools cd emulator (free) emulate actual virtual disc rotation (clv/cav) , provide fixed performance game should happy. see (first 1 direct download, second 1 performance seeting, point 3):

  • in device dropdown menu, ensure correct source selected (the drive containing disc imaged). select reading speed (slower takes longer reduces risk of errors in imaging process).

  • in destination image file field, select destination , filename of image file, , ensure output type iso.

  • click start begin. daemon tools analyses physical media , creates image of in destination selected in step 5. completion time depends on various factors: amount of data being copied, selected read speed , system specifications.

  • when process has completed, iso file available in specified destination folder. can mounted virtual drive, using applications such daemon tools, or alternatively burned new disc.
