Hoping for tips on monitoring resource utilisation
hi,
implementing sql server integration services (ssis) solution on windows server 2003.
have problem overnight process (dtexec.exe) seems "freeze" , don't know why. "freeze" mean see entries in logfile:
dataflow: 2010-02-21 22:09:20.69
source: dft dataflow
component "lkp dim client" (792) receive 0 rows on input "lookup input" (793)
end dataflow
dataflow: 2010-02-21 22:09:20.69
source: dft dataflow
component "lkp dim contract" (843) w
knows ssis (and granted, suspect doesn't include around here) knows log records unusual. can see log record has been partially written - strange thing if leave process long enough (and i'm talking hours here) log record gets written in entirety , execution continues unabated.
awry. suspicion of our machine resources getting constrained, either cpu or memory. reasno visiting forum haven't clue how go monitoring these resources.
know perfmon overnight process , have no desire sit here until hours staring @ perfmon :)
can recommend tool monitoring/capturing cpu , memory utilisation in situation? i'd prefer built windows if have go 3rd party....so it!
in advance advice. if haven't explained things enough please let me know.
regards
