Network Virtualization and Virtualization Gateway
hi experts !
i eagerly waiting last few months trying out network virtualization.
we have 2 hyper-v clusters in windows server 2012 - 1 in primary datacenter , 1 in dr - configured , works well.
i installed scvmm 2012 sp1 in primary datacenter for trying out network virtualization.
ultimately, looking option move vm primary hv cluster dr hv cluster without changing ip.
questions have now
- i understand virtualization gateway a mandatory requirement allow communication between virtualized network , non-virtualized network. windows 2012 server routing , remote access role can act virtualization gateway , can expecting see network hardware enable support. means gateway ip getting configured in vms of virtualization gateway , used route traffic through ip?
- if live migration happens in cluster, scvmm 2012 sp1 updating routes virtualization gateway. see configuration provider windows server 2012 hyper-v gateways not yet available. means powershell script require run every time along failover. right approach?
- failover dr can happen entire network virtualized subnet. is statement correct?
- is there microsoft certified virtualization gateway appliance available now?
thanks lot in advance or clue on this.
cheers ! shaba
