Second DC doesn`t take over the control, outlooks started to ask password.
hi all,
-i had windows 2012 server dc.
-i have installed 2012 r2 second dc
-i`ve ad integrated dns
-both dcs dns
-when click "operations masters" see pdc in both section.
problem when turned off pdc yesterday, new 1 didn`t take over. outlooks giving authentication errors.
when click change dc transfer roles, showing version "unknown" for new server r2. didn`t try transfer may fail, too.

domain controller dns installed should using primary dns server, if have 1 domain controller down in configuration other dc can't reach it's primary dns server.
you can either use ip address of or 127.0.0.1
after if still having trouble run
dcdiag /test:dns
look errors.
