Active directory / RADIUS not communicating well with Cisco ASA / Cisco IPSEC VPN client authentication

yesterday during server maintenance, servers shutdown. upon turn up, found vpn client not able authenticate. checked radius protocols, ad cisco asa configs, , aaa server configs. configs seem accurate. on aaa server (dc) checked services, ensured running. worked cisco , determined ad sending "bad packets" asa not guilty. how shutdown create such issue? how resolve?
