Selecting Input Languages in Remote Desktop Sessions

i have microsoft office 2003 installed on windows 2003 server running terminal services. clients on windows xp sp3. have installed addtional languages on client computers (eg. russian, japanese) , set languages default. client computers display language bar on local taskbar. have shortcuts configured on local desktop start terminal service sessions , run particular program (such word or outlook). user switches focus remote desktop session, language bar disappears local taskbar , not possible toggle input language in application. assigned hot-key (left alt-shift) has no effect. after experimenting, able russian language working 1 client computer. (note solution did not require installing russian language on server itself, on client). however, have not been able working japanese on different client computer. can find detailed explanation of how enable , switch between multiple input languages in terminal server environment?
