Active Licencies of Windows Terminal Server 2008

i have 1 licensie of 10 cal terminal server win 2008 on 1 contrate molp open i have 2 server´s one windows 2003 r2 , other windows 2008 r2 my question can active 5 licencies on server 2003 , 5 windows 2008 r2 hi, i afraid not able split environments. licenses must used respective products issued with. if purchased licenses microsoft licensing partner, ask them if have rollback option use 5 server 2003 not sure if rollback exists terminal server. regards, martin if find information useful, please rate it. :-) Windows Server  >  Windows Server General Forum

Redirect output of a script to a file

hello i have main script calls other scripts , functions. these functions contain write-host, read-host, write-error functions , variables (as $servicelist) how can log of output of program file. i tired start/stop transaction, >>, out-file, tee-object etc. didn't work. "but didn't work" isn't helpful. also, we'll need see code. general rule of thumb - if ever want objects other display them in console, write-host bad. don't retire technet! Server 2008 R2 DFS replication

SMS Migration 2003 to 2008 STD - Cannot find source server

XP SP3 RDP WON'T CONNECT reposted in RDP forum

hi everyone, i having problem rdp on 3 windows xp sp3 machines. connecting windows server 2008r2 terminal server. odd part there windows server 2008r2 used else , 1 of dc's. used server make rdp settings changes (to test not screw ts) and can't rdp ts. i changed server rdp settings allow connections computers using network level authentication , updated xp rdp 7.0 when try connect "an authentication error has occurred(code:0x80090303) i have turned on credssp each xp machine. when first made changes, turned on credssp , updated rdp on xp machines, tested , seemed work, able rdp servers, tested rdp both. it's been 6 hours since made changes. thanks danny hi, as description, have downloaded credssp protocol specification . however, please tell way connected terminal server? through hostname, fqdn, alias or ip address of terminal server? if connected the windows server 2008r2 terminal server using ip address or alias, maybe can try download ,...

Unattended Hyper-V Install Issue

greetings community,   during operating system deployment task sequence, after deployment of operating system via setup windows , configmgr, attempt automate installation of hyper-v role using servermanagercmd.exe –install hyper-v .   through task sequence variables, request reboot task sequence environment.  after short time (45-60 seconds) after task sequence resumes, second restart (required hyper-v) occurs outside of control.  consequently, task sequence prematurely exited.  i’m looking way avoid or control second restart.   do community members know of way to: ·          execute role installation command form of restart control switch (the command not seem expose one), ·          detect initiation of reboot sequence , halt or otherwise prevent second reboot occuring until trigger myself (shutdown -a not serve me in regard), ·          or resume execution of interrupted task sequence (only if not possible catch , prevent reboot). as alternative (my least preferred...

How does the WSUS approval process work ?

i clarify confusion in regards approval process in wsus 3.0 rtm version. from updates search window, type in ms08 , approval year 2008 critical patches of windows server 2003 computer groups have created in wsus. when more patches released next tuesday, setup sync mu , download new patches. @ point go in follow same rule select patches again , approve them same groups. can prevented ? can see new updates have not yet been approved ? secondly, if add more computer groups , add machines them , go on approve same patches groups in particular only. have reapprove patches other computer groups had been approved ? if don't, make computers had downloaded/installed patches before, undo patches or in other words, push roll ? thanks help. sorry english :) here thing: you approved update group , group b only.
